Ministry-Roland and Marlies Sernig

Roland and Marlies have enjoyed their walk with God for over 40 years, having been called by God in March 1975 whilst living in Canberra. They were baptised in April 1977.

They have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.  In 1997 Roland was ordained.  He is also a qualified Christian Counsellor and Justice of the Peace (Qualified).

In 2011 they made the decision to move to Kooralbyn, where in 2013, they retired from the workforce.  During the 2 years before retirement, God put onto their hearts to establish a place of Worship in Kooralbyn. After much prayer, the door was opened in March 2014 to establish the Kooralbyn Community Church (KCC).

KCC was established as a non-denominational Church which is founded upon the teachings of Jesus and not on any personal doctrinal issues. All who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, is our Redeemer and Saviour and that Salvation is through Him alone, is welcome to join us in Worship.

Roland and Marlies' passion is to share the knowledge of Jesus - who

He is and what He has done for us - with all those who have a heart to listen.

"...I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing..." (John 15:5 NIV).

Statements of Belief

Belief in:

  • There is one God, the Creator and Preserver of all things, infinite in being and perfection. He exists eternally in three: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, the eternally pre-existent Son, our redeemer and ruler; He rose from the dead, glorified, now seated at the right hand of the Father, and has become our High Priest, ever interceding for us.

  • Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and His Church is run by the leading of the Holy Spirit

  • The Holy Spirit, our personal guide and Counsellor guiding us personally in the application of the saving work of Jesus Christ to men.

  • The Bible is the infallible Word of God

  • Baptism by water immersion

  • Baptism in the Holy Spirit

  • The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper

  • The fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit

The aforementioned Statements of Belief are the core beliefs and are there to provide guidelines to help us apply and teach the Gospel.  We should be free to explore the richness and depth of God without prejudice against one another, allowing us to discover the Truth to daily living in our time, as God reveals it to us.
